Sci-Fi
Science fiction film (or sci-fi film) is a genre that uses speculative, fictional science-based depictions of phenomena that are not fully accepted by mainstream science, such as extraterrestrial lifeforms, alien worlds, extrasensory perception and time travel. It may also incorporate futuristic elements such as spacecraft, robots, cyborgs, interstellar travel or other technologies. Films in this genre are often used to focus on political or social issues, and to explore philosophical issues like the human condition.
We invite filmmakers to submit shorts and features with a science fiction theme. This can be a narrative story, a documentary, a dance or music video or, an animation. The festival will be held in London, a city known for its diversity and innovation in the creative arts, in November. Please read our terms and conditions by clicking on OUR STORY.
